3/4 Thread with easy to thread lower looper and rolled hem switch. When you want to make the most of your serging time, with professional results, the MyLock 634 is unmatched. It has 2 needles and 2, 3 or 4 thread overlock stitching. Threading is a breeze due to color-coded thread guides and an easy lower looper threading system. The MyLock 634D also lets you quickly switch to rolled hemming without changing the needle plate.

Core Performance and Design
The 634D is built for efficiency, capable of reaching a maximum speed of 1,300 stitches per minute. It is considered one of Janome's most advanced MyLock models due to its electronic control and versatile stitching options.
  • Stitch Versatility: Offers 2, 3, or 4-thread overlock stitching capabilities.
  • Fabric Handling: Features an adjustable differential feed ratio from 0.5 to 2.25, providing precise control to eliminate puckered edges on woven fabrics or stretched edges on knits.
  • Adjustability: Users can manually adjust stitch length from 1mm to 5mm and cutting width from 3.1mm to 7.3mm.
  • Quick Rolled Hem: Allows for immediate switching to rolled hemming without needing to change the needle plate.
Ease of Use and Maintenance
A primary differentiator for the 634D is its user-friendly threading system, which is described as significantly easier than cheaper Janome models.
  • Threading: Features color-coded thread guides, a self-threading lower looper, and lay-in thread tension dials that automatically release when the presser foot is lifted.
  • Lower Looper Pretension: Includes a setting slider that eliminates the need to change tension manually for rolled hems.
  • Included Convenience: Comes standard with a waste chip box to keep the workspace clean.
  • Internal Support: Your store's diagnostic records suggest using "Crazy Clean" or penetrating lubricants to restore movement in the linkages if oil becomes coagulated. You also have a technical video from January 2025 detailing its internal workings.
